Xbox Announces New Appointments to the Xbox EMEA Team

London - UK - 8th April 2005 The Xbox EMEA marketing team is further strengthened with the announcement of three new appointments. All will play an instrumental part in continuing to build the success of the Xbox business across the region into the next-generation. Their appointments come on the heels of 14 consecutive months of increased market share for Xbox and the growth of the Xbox Live service to over 1.4 million members.

Dom McBrien, currently EMEA Head of Customer Relationship Marketing, has been promoted to the newly created position of Head of Online Marketing EMEA, with responsibility for all aspects of online marketing, including Xbox.com, direct communication and Community Marketing. Xbox continues to see online as a crucial element of marketing to gamers and consumers alike, enabling creative and effective two-way communication. Dom will work closely with his team to develop an online marketing offering that will allow Xbox to reach an even broader audience, as they gear up for the next generation of gaming. Dom has already enjoyed great success in his previous role, where he used online activities to forge a community of gamers and enthusiasts, innovating the way Xbox communicated with gamers across the region.

Reporting into Dom McBrien, Beatriz Diaz has been confirmed as the new Head of Xbox.com. Xbox.com is a vital part of the Xbox presence online and continues to be a hub for the online Xbox community. Beatriz will oversee the expansion of Xbox.com, developing and commissioning compelling content to further engage the gaming community and create a destination site for a wider audience. Xbox.com will also continue to play a critical role in expanding the already successful Xbox Live community.

Finally, Michele Marchand joins the Xbox EMEA PR & Events team as Events Manager, bringing her knowledge of the Xbox brand and expertise in orchestrating large-scale events to EMEA. She will be focussing on Europe-wide initiatives such as the FIFA Interactive World Cup and X0 events, helping to bring the Xbox brand to life for an even broader audience and identifying further opportunities for Xbox to connect with consumers. Michele moves to the EMEA team from the UK subsidiary, where she was responsible for marketing communications, including advertising and media planning, promotions, partnerships, sponsorships and events helping establish Xbox as a major gaming force in the UK.
