xaitment/Alibangbang deal

xaitMap, xaitMove and xaitControl selected by Taiwanese outfit for MMOG development.

Saarbrücken/Quierschied, Germany – June 08, 2010 – xaitment GmbH / Inc., the leading artificial intelligence (AI) game tool provider for the video games and simulations industries, today announced a new licensing agreement with game developer Alibangbang Digital Games Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the popular Taiwanese game producer Gamania Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd., located in Taipei. Alibangbang will use xaitment’s AI middleware tools xaitMap, xaitMove² and xaitControl to produce its new upcoming game, an MMOG (massively multiplayer online game) with unannounced title. xaitment’s user interface based AI game tools will provide Alibangbang with the latest in AI game technology, enabling them to develop fast navigation meshes for large map sizes, movement behaviors for a large number of characters walking in a continuously changing world and character behavior modeling in a way unmatched in quality and return on investment. In addition, the company will benefit from the tools’ easy and fast integration into existing platforms and comprehensive technical support from highly knowledgeable specialists.

“For our upcoming MMOG we wanted to select an AI middleware solution that would not only be easy to integrate and easy to use, but also that guarantees excellent support for our development team,” said Albert Liu, CEO of Gamania. “We are impressed by the quick response and highly qualified support xaitment has given us. They have offered us ongoing support and a rich feature set, which has allowed us to obtain the highest level of results.”

“We are excited to be partnering with one of the leading game developers and publishers in Taiwan,” said Markus Schneider, xaitment’s Executive Vice President of Sales for the Americas & Asia. “The next generation of MMOGs requires the most advanced solutions for game developers and publishers. By using xaitment’s AI game tools, Alibangbang and Gamania will further push the boundaries of AI in games – and this while increasing quality and lowering costs.”
