Women in Games International is Mixing it Up in Two So Cal Cities

WIGI Presents Community Mixers in San Francisco and San Diego

Thursday, June 28, 2007 - San Francisco/San Diego, CA -Women in Games International (WIGI), a non-profit organization in the interactive entertainment industry, is hosting community mixers in San Francisco on July 12 and San Diego on July 25. These community events are an easy-access method for local members and guests to network and socialize with regional peers in the games industry. Admission is free; RSVP is required.

Co-hosted by the Art Institute of California in both cities, these informal industry receptions will provide a unique opportunity for men and women in the industry, and those interesting in breaking in, to mingle and catch up on trends in the games business. WIGI plans to continue its series of community mixers in other cities across the country and around the world. Those cities include Chicago, Austin, Toronto, Vancouver, Seattle and Sydney, Australia. Past mixers have been held in Los Angeles and New York City.

"These events are a great networking opportunities for game industry attendees," says Belinda Van Sickle, WIGI Community Coordinator. "I can't tell you how positive and overwhelming the response has been from our early mixers in New York and Los Angeles. Our guests seem to gain a lot of value from both the social and business-building aspects of these informal get-togethers, and they absolutely love the swag!"
