WildTangent Releases BlasterBall 3, the First Ever "Web 2.0" User-Authored Video Game

BlasterBall 3 enables players to create, post and share their own game designs with millions of other gamers

Redmond, WA. - November 30th, 2006 - The WildTangent Games Network (WGN), the fastest growing online games network in North America, today announced the release of the first ever "Web 2.0" video game, BlasterBall 3. In a first for gamers worldwide, WildTangent Studios, the production arm of the WildTangent Games Network, has launched a simple to use level editor empowering users to build their own BlasterBall 3 levels from within the game itself and to post them to the gaming community on the BlasterBall 3 website, www.blasterballthegame.com.

"We got the idea when we found ourselves constantly producing new levels for BlasterBall 2. No matter how many levels we created, players were always hungry for more," said WildTangent CEO, Alex St. John. "Finally, players can have all the BlasterBall content they want and even personalize it with their own designs."

"Building the level editor directly into the game as an integral feature, and letting the community author the content has never been done in the history of casual gaming," said BlasterBall3 Producer Tanya Royer. "The consumer feedback on this game has been amazing; we expect thousands of new levels to be created immediately. Everyone wants to be a game designer and unleash their creative side."

In-game level authoring isn't the only compelling new feature of BlasterBall3. The game also allows players to select music from their MP3 collection to play in the background, with the game animating elements dynamically to a player's personalized soundtrack.

BlasterBall3 is free to download and try on www.wildtangent.com, and will be available on the WildTangent Game Console, which is shipping with every major consumer PC in North America this holiday season. The game, which is the third edition in the hugely popular BlasterBall franchise, counts over 15 million total online players to date.
