Werd supports World AIDS Day

With release of new Spectrum Tiles game

Werd Interactive has released a brand new game for mobile phones to mark World AIDS Day and raise money for research into HIV/AIDS.

Spectrum Tiles Red Ribbon is described as a simple and accessible puzzle game that will work on many different handsets. The game features the red ribbon, the symbol of the global fight against HIV and AIDS, as a background to each level.

"It's time the games industry grew up and started contributing in a positive way to some of the social issues facing the world," said Werd MD Randy Shepherd.

"Many stars from other areas of the entertainment industry lend their celebrity and time towards this issue and we also wanted to contribute. We're not pretty or famous enough to be on Entertainment Tonight, so we decided to create a game that was simple enough for every mobile phone owner to pick up and play and which will provide a reminder of the fight against HIV/AIDS, as well as directly benefit charities supporting AIDS sufferers and searching for a cure."

"Spectrum Tiles Red Ribbon may be a very basic and simple game, but we're proud of it and sincerely hope that in some small way, it can help World AIDS Day and those affected by the virus worldwide."

Spectrum Tiles Red Ribbon is available from the Werd Interactive website in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Portugese. The game costs USD 4.99 and purchasers can pay via credit and debit cards, Paypal or SMS.
