VUG Mobile announces new titles

Six new games heading to mobile soon

Fulfilling its early promise of rapid growth in the mobile sector, Vivendi Universal's newly formed mobile division has announced a six-title line-up of new releases for the second and third quarter.

Officially established in March and headed up Paul Maglione, former VP of publishing and marketing for UK-based mobile games provider I-play, VUG mobile intends to release at least a dozen titles this year and aims to leverage its diverse selection of franchises from the traditional videogames sector.

Building on the success of mobile versions of Crash Bandicoot, which has enjoyed more than two million sales to date, VUG's mobile games will be made available in over forty countries through over seventy operators. The new portfolio includes mobile versions of some of Vivendi's most popular and commercially successful PC and console titles, such as Empire Earth and SWAT.

VUG Mobile President, Paul Maglione, commented: "VUG Mobile continues to expand its product line-up of premium titles ranging in appeal from core gamers to casual players and in gameplay from engaging strategy games to one-thumb gaming fun."

The full line-up of new releases features SWAT Force, Empire Earth, After Dark: Flying Toaster, Red Baron, Navy Challenge, and Black Hawk Down: Team Sabre, and further information on each of the titles can be found by visiting the VU Games website.
