VS Harlem Video Game Lounge Lets You Get Your Game On.
New York, NY May 25, 2006 - VS Harlem, the
new ultra slick and hi-tech gaming lounge in Harlem is now
officially taking Harlem by storm one joystick at a time. The
owner, Shawn T. Hurdle-Arana, was inspired by his love of
video games and the need to get all of his gaming friends out
of his house. "My house was over run with my video game
playing friends. So I decided why not create a space in my
own neighborhood where we could all go play."
So after two years of intensive research, hard work, and
sacrifice, Shawn, with the help of his sister, officially
opened VS Harlem on March 1, 2006. And the place has been
packed ever since. And he doesn't even need a booking agent
for all the celebrities that have passed through his spot.
Artist such as Carl Thomas, Jae Mills, Max B, the Dipset,
Americas Next Top Model, Bre and a who's who list of NBA
stars such as Stephan Marbury and Pro-Gamers have all stepped
foot into the posh lounge to get their game on.
The gaming lounge offers all the hi-tech gaming comforts in
one space. GameCube, Playstation 2, Xbox, Xbox 360 consoles
are all available for play on slick HD flat screen TV's. The
place host over 150 titles to play, from the ultra retro
titles to the latest fresh out the box releases. But it
doesn't stop there as you can also bring your laptop, PSP, or
Nintendo DS to surf the internet or rent a computer to check
your e-mail. Other services include: Digital Photo Printing,
CD/DVD
Burning, B/W & Color Printing, Indie Movie Screenings,
Listening Parties, Game Previews, Product Launches and Album
release parties. The lounge has already host many major
gaming tournaments with Pro-Gaming league MLG and VS Harlem
also sponsors their own Pro-Gaming team know as Team VS.
Members of the team include the Halo wonder Lil' Poison who
is only 8 years old, his Uncle Poison, Boo, Super Smash Bros.
Melee champ KillaOR and two-time Madden Challenge Champion
Young Gunz.
