Villains and Vehicles Unleashed At Games Market Europe

NCsoft to premiere City of Villains and unveil Auto Assault at European Trade Event in London

Thursday 11 August 2005/... Visitors to Games Market Europe will be able to feast their eyes on the first ever UK unveiling of the highly-anticipated title City of VillainsTM, the standalone sequel to critically acclaimed MMORPG City of Heroes®, as well as enjoy hands-on time with the fastest, most destructive MMOG ever - Auto Assault.

The NCsoft stand - Stand B40 - will not only display City of Villains and Auto Assault, but also the hugely successful Guild Wars®. Visitors will be able to get all the latest up-to-date news from the NCsoft team, with staff on hand to answer questions.

Games Market Europe, which is taking place at the London Business Design Centre on 31st August - 1st September, will be home to a wealth of exhibitors coming together under one roof to do business with retailers, distributors and press.

"Games Market Europe offers us the opportunity to showcase our products to both the trade and press while also doing business with prospective partners in a professional environment," says Dirk Metzger, marketing director, NCsoft Europe. "We believe that Games Market Europe is a useful event for the video games industry and are looking forward to taking part in its debut."

City of Villains is the standalone sequel to City of Heroes. Using a staggering assortment of new powers, abilities, and customization options, players can experience sinister game play from the other side of the mask. Heroes and authorities of Paragon City will do all in their power to thwart these evil plans of destruction. It will take a supreme effort for true domination.

Auto Assault is an action-based Massively Multiplayer Online Game (MMOG) that combines vehicular combat with role-playing elements. Players will explore a post-apocalyptic future in customisable cars, motorcycles, semis, and even tanks.

Guild Wars, which has topped the charts across Europe, is the highly addictive competitive role-playing game developed by ArenaNet. In the fantasy world of Guild Wars, players can engage in cooperative group combat, in single player adventures, or in large head-to-head guild battles. Guild Wars popularity is partly down to its amazing streaming technology which provide players with the latest updates while they're online.
