Venture - Diaries from the Battlegrounds

More info on BigBlackBlock's pan-epoch warfare game.

Oberhausen / Germany 2010-12-08 “Push!!! These flanks are weak!!!” might be the first advice the player may hear when entering the game. Thrown into five epochs of human art of warfare the player has to proof his skills in tactics and leadership.

The lovely and varying soundtrack for each epoch has been composed by Duesenberg Interactive and provides the perfect mood for the different themes. Ingo Ramin is working in the game industry as a freelance designer and graphic artist since 2001 and worked for companies like Enix, Eidos, Nintendo, THQ, Deep Silver and many more. Because he always had a bias for music it has been an obvious conclusion to establish Duesenberg Interactive. "I want my music to create pictures in the listeners’ brain which support the visual ideas of the game developers and their projects, like level design for the ears." The secret is the actual connection between the music and the game, a scene or a character, Ingo explains. Currently he is working on the game interface for Risen 2 (Deep Silver) but is amenable for enquiries.

Established in 2005 by Marc André Ueberall, the game studio BigBlackBlock is based in Oberhausen / Germany. BigBlackBlock focuses on various sectors. On the one hand the continuous development of the Microsoft XNA Framework based in-house engine Elder.Core which is the foundation of all further developments. On the other hand the creation of games for Windows based PCs and Xbox 360 consoles. BigBlackBlock released titles such as Brixx and the animago Award 2009 contestant {hi}rollerz.
