Nordcurrent, a European game developer and publisher, announced today that it has launched Urbanix for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The game is available to download worldwide on iTunes for a price of $1.99 in the U.S. and 1.59 Euros in Europe. To coincide with the launch, Nodcurrent has also released the game's official gameplay trailer that highlights all exciting arcade elements that players will face.
"Urbanix has its roots in old classic arcade games, with modern visuals and enhanced gameplay. Controls were specifically designed to suit iPhone and iPod Touch, so players will definitely enjoy this game", said Victoria Trofimova, Director at Nordcurrent. "With 3 worlds and 150 levels, Urbanix will keep players entertained for weeks."
Players take the role of Urbanix – a tiny little tractor that has to build a town on an empty field. Players have to avoid enemies, catch and chase away house crashers, as they will try to spoil the game, collect useful bonuses and avoid the useless ones.
Urbanix takes place on Earth, in the North Pole or on the Moon – all locations have different gameplay mechanics, therefore players will have to adapt their strategy. There are 150 levels, and players will need plenty of time to complete them all. For official trailer players can visit http://www.youtube.com/user/Nordcurrent#p/a/u/0/w1wrb_K7fDU
