Urban Rivals

First character design contest winner unveiled.

20th October 2008, Boostr the Paris-based Company behind Urban Rivals was delighted to add the character “Tula” of the Pirana clan to the dynamic world of Clint City. The character was designed by the UK winner of this summer’s Art Star contest, Simon Pike from Somerset in England.

The art team at Boostr in Paris provided Simon with a brief for a level two female character to join the most recent Urban Rivals clan, the Pirana’s, a cunning clan of Pirates who downed anchor in the bay of Clint City.

Tula is a fast, silent swimmer armed with lethal drills she uses to puncture the hull of boats and ships to protect the clan and plunder their foes. At level one Tula sports a fetching bikini and two light-weight drills, at level two she returns in a wetsuit with a steam punk inspired master drill for the larger ships that need to be sunk.

Nicolas Caris, Boostr’s Marketing Director said “It’s a pleasure to have Simon on the team and his first character design is very popular with the players. We look forward to seeing more of Simon’s work in the future”

Simon Pike commented “After winning the Art Star contest in the UK, it’s been an amazing experience to see my first character in Urban Rivals and it’s really fun for me to play the game, and of course I play the Pirana clan.”
