Uncharted 3, Portal 2 lead AIAS Award nominations

L.A. Noire, Batman: Arkham City and Battlefield 3 also receive multiple nods

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, Portal 2 and L.A. Noire lead the nominations for next month's Interactive Achievement Awards, taking place at the 2012 D.I.C.E. Summit.

Naughty Dog's most recent Uncharted game has 12 nominations while Valve's Portal 2 is just behind with 10. Warner's Batman: Arkham City, EA's Battlefield 3 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim from Bethesda also received multiple nods.

"These games exemplify the highest standard of excellence and quality, from the breathtaking cinematics, to the bold storytelling and the innovative technology," commented Martin Rae, president of the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences.

"Our industry has really outdone itself this year and continues to exceed expectations with its creativity and craftsmanship."

The awards ceremony takes place February 9 at the Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas. The event will be streamed live on GameSpot. The full ist of nominations can be seen on the official site.
