Ubisoft touts "100 per cent gaming" for Leipzig

French software publisher Ubisoft has confirmed its product line-up for the forthcoming Games Convention in Leipzig, promising a diverse range of current and next-generation software.

French software publisher Ubisoft has confirmed its product line-up for the forthcoming Games Convention in Leipzig, promising a diverse range of current and next-generation software.

In addition to the publisher's press conference - to be held at 12pm on August 23rd in the fair's press conference hall - Ubisoft will have a strong presence on the main show floor, within the business centre and at the Netzstatt Gaming League booth throughout the duration of the show.

"One hundred per cent gaming is our motto for Games Convention," stated Benedikt Schler, Ubisoft Germany's marketing director.

"Visitors will be able to experience our entire line-up, as well as participate in sweepstakes, and see amazing trailers and great stage shows. In the year of our 20th anniversary Ubisoft continues to prove that we have a diversified catalogue with a strong focus on next generation formats.".

Attendees will be presented with a wide range of titles in playable form, including the latest iteration in the acclaimed Splinter Cell series, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent, Western shooter Call of Juarez and construction strategy titles The Settlers DS and The Settlers II - The Next Generation.

Additionally, Ubisoft will be showing riding adventure Horsez, animated movie tie-in Open Season, and first person action title Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. The company has confirmed that Dark Messiah's innovative Crusade multiplayer mode will be fully playable at the event, with tournaments running throughout the show on 18 PCs at the Netzstatt Gaming League booth.

Members of Ubisoft's international development team will also be on hand to demonstrate games, discuss development processes and offer insight into forthcoming projects on multiple platforms including the next-gen consoles.
