Ubisoft pumps £4 million into Christmas ad campaigns

Latest Raving Rabbids title gets £1 million ad spend

French publisher Ubisoft is spending GBP 4 million on its Christmas ad campaigns for Wii and DS titles in the UK.

According to Brand Republic, Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party for the Wii will be supported with a GBP 1 million campaign running on ITVs Saturday evening shows including The X Factor.

"From now until Christmas we are targeting various different demographics. We are putting a sizeable chunk into TV ads given the current economic climate," commented Jon Rosenblatt, UK marketing director for Ubisoft.

The company's Imagine range will be the subject of a campaign kicking off November 14, while ads will also promote Sam Power, Combat of Giants – Dinosaurs and the one million-selling Far Cry 2.
