Ubisoft refuses to comment on Wheelman acquisition

Rumours suggest Midway's Vin Diesel game has been picked up by French publisher

Ubisoft has reportedly picked up the cross-platform title Wheelman from rapidly deteriorating publisher Midway.

The Vin Diesel game has been put on hold as it undergoes an acquisition by new publisher Ubisoft, according to Kotaku.

Ubisoft told GamesIndustry.biz that it is "unable to offer comment on rumour or speculation", however, at the time of writing the US retailer GameFly has edited it's listing for Wheelman to reflect a change in publisher.

This news comes after Midway US announced it has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in order to cope with mounting debts.

Midway has been contacted for comment.

Update: Midway has also refused to comment on the rumour, referring to it as "speculation".
