Trip Hawkins to keynote GDC Mobile
EA founder to discuss "Making Mobiles the Ultimate Gaming Platform"
Industry veteran Trip Hawkins, founder of EA Games and Digital Chocolate, is to deliver the opening keynote at GDC Mobile.
Hawkins will present "Making Mobile Phones the Ultimate Game Platform," in which he will discuss taking a craftsman-like approach to games development and his thoughts on overcoming platform obstacles.
"I am thrilled to have Trip Hawkins, a game industry legend, kick-off GDC Mobile with such an important topic of discussion," said Robert Tercek, chairman of GDC Mobile.
"Trip will challenge the entire industry to rise from lethargy of derivative products and safe bets to take advantage of the unique aspects of the wireless platform."
GDC Mobile takes place March 5 and 6 at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco.
