Train2Game Student Incubator program

DR Studios and TIGA invite applications to form crack development team.

*MEDIA ALERT*

Following on from the announcement of the Train2Game Student Incubator program, DR Studios alongside TIGA would like to invite applications for an incubator team to occupy its internal incubation slot.

We are looking for a professional, highly creative team of Train2Game student graduates with TIGA diplomas to become its first internal incubator team situated on-site at DR Studios.  Individuals considering tendering a submission must have the right blend of technical ability and creative spark to build commercially successful games as well as being able to deal with the rigors of running a digital business.

The team will be supported by a range of mentors from within DR Studios who collectively have shipped hundreds of games and will advise the incubating team on all aspects of games development.

The comprehensive support package will equip the incubating team with everything a modern studio needs for commercial success; equipment, software tools, technical infrastructure and mentoring support.  The team needs to add drive, determination, resolve, creativity and commitment.

We are looking for teams or individuals who want to be part of a core team, to put them forward for consideration for this exceptional opportunity.

We are seeking groups of 3-4 people who can clearly demonstrate their ability and commitment and are in a position to live and work in Milton Keynes where DR Studios is based.  To be considered as a team we need an introductory document to explain who the team is, how the team is made up (artist/designer/programmer/other) and why you feel you could be instrumental in creating a successful micro developer.

Those that are shortlisted will be invited to DR Studios to pitch to the management team who will in turn present the best pitches to the TIGA advisory board.  Places within the incubation scheme are limited and we are focused on supporting applicants who demonstrate excellence in their respective areas.

TIGA CEO Richard Wilson spoke yesterday about the new initiatives… “I think this is a fantastic opportunity for those studying towards their TIGA Diploma to go straight into professional games development under the guiding hand of industry experts. I’m confident we will see some excellent content coming out of this unique team and the other Incubators that will follow.  This initiative is a further practical demonstration of TIGA’s commitment to supporting the UK games industry: helping start-ups as part of the campaign to make the UK the best place to do games business.”
