Tom Bramwell appointment

Editor-at-large becomes operations director.

As he enters his eleventh year at Eurogamer, Tom’s new role will see him take responsibility for the day to day running of Eurogamer’s websites, including Eurogamer.net (where he remains Editor-at-Large), the network of Eurogamer sites across Europe, GamesIndustry.biz and Megaton.co.uk. He will also oversee the company’s technology department.

Commenting on Tom’s promotion, Rupert Loman, managing director of Eurogamer Network, said: “As our longest standing employee, and one who has proven time and again to lead by example and rise to the challenge, we are delighted that Tom will be taking on this new role. He has the respect of everyone within the company and will help drive things on as we continue to grow.”

Tom Bramwell added: “Every day I'm inspired by the integrity, creativity and ambition of the people I work with, and I know together we can achieve the goals we've set ourselves for 2011 and then some. Eleven more years would suit me just fine.”

Following on from the recent acquisition of Hammersuit, Rupert Loman will now be responsible for the newly formed US business, commercial development, partner websites and new product development.
