Tira Wireless Sells Publishing Division to Airborne Entertainment

Clears Path to Dominate Mobile Content Porting Market

TORONTO--OCTOBER 7, 2004--Tira Wireless, a provider of enabling technology for the mobile content marketplace, today announced that Airborne Entertainment has purchased the rights to all games, applications, brands and distribution contracts formerly held by the publishing division of Tira Wireless. Tira continues to focus on its core business - providing the mobile content market with the technology and services needed to overcome the challenges of device and market fragmentation.

Tira Jump, the award winning, patent-pending automated porting platform for mobile Java applications, has been used to create and optimize over 3,000 versions of branded titles across multiple devices and languages. Tira Jump has now been used by more than 45% of top tier mobile games publishers including Airborne Entertainment, Disney Mobile, Sony Pictures Digital and THQ Wireless, amongst others.

Airborne Entertainment is a leading publisher of entertainment content for mobile phones with existing content from MAXIM, the NHL, 20th Century Fox, The Food Network, A&E, HBO and others. The applications, brands and distribution rights acquired by Airborne from Tira include NHL® PowerShot HockeyTM, Cosmo Mobile, CosmoGIRL! Mobile, TVGuide® Crosswords2Go, and Apollo Mail amongst others. These applications are in distribution with mobile operators on a wide range of Java handsets around the world.
