TiltStorm

Accelerometer-guided shooter up on the App Store.

The first title by Moonjump has been released, debuting on the same day as The Beatles. TiltStorm is an arcade game with no virtual controls. Out now for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.

It departs from many iOS arcade games by being designed from the start to use the accelerometer and touchscreen. The movement sensor controls the player rotation around a circle, leaving the screen to act as a big button.

The game has 20 different enemies appearing across 80 unique levels, although the difficulty still rises beyond 80.

Game Center was chosen for high scores and achievements as it is not in-your-face like some other networks

TiltStorm has been localised into French, Italian, German, Spanish and Japanese.

Developed by Andy Cowe who has worked as a game designer since 1997, with released titles on console, computer, handheld and mobile. He set up Moonjump to create iPhone games following redundancy from Hands-On Mobile.
