Tiger Telematics’ Gizmondo Receives Enthusiastic US Reception

Los Angeles, 24th October 2005 - Gizmondo USA Inc. subsidiary of Jacksonville, Florida-based Tiger Telematics Inc (other OTC, TGTL) confirms its North American launch has gone according to plan receiving an enthusiastic reception from US consumers.

The Gizmondo, its games, and satellite navigation package went on sale on Saturday 22nd October 2005 at selected retail locations and the official website at www.gizmondo.com. The innovative kiosk marketing initiative went down particularly well with shoppers. The combination of high profile positioning and trained staff drew crowds who were given one-to-one demos of the new multi-entertainment handheld's six core functions (games, music, movies, messaging, a digital camera, and powerful GPS).

Capitalising on this successful initiative, the previously announced shopping malls (Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Chicago, Seattle and four prime locations in Los Angeles), will be quickly followed by a further 38 kiosks in similarly high-profile locations across North America.

The $30million marketing campaign, which kicked off last week with a full-page ad in USA Today featuring Verne Troyer, promises to turn heads as each new element is unveiled in the run up to Christmas.

Mike Carrender, CEO, Tiger Telematics, commented: "We're delighted with the response to the kiosk initiative, increased web traffic and initial sales from the website. The launch here in North America is a particularly important milestone for the company. From here we intend to escalate our launch activities and look forward to making further announcements as we roll out through retail."

Gizmondo is powered by Microsoft Windows CE advanced real-time operating system, boasting a 2.8-inch TFT colour screen with a Samsung ARM9 400Mhz processor and incorporates the GoForce 3D 4500 NVIDIA graphics accelerator. It provides cutting-edge gaming, multimedia messaging, an MP3 music player, Mpeg4 movie playing capability, a digital camera and a GPRS network link to allow wide-area network gaming. Additionally, it contains a GPS chip for location-based services, is equipped with Bluetooth for use in multi-player gaming and accepts SD and MMC card accessories.
