THQ Wireless opens Madrid office, puts Lionel Maestri in charge

THQ Wireless has appointed mobile sector veteran Lionel Maestri as head of its new Madrid office, where he will help the THQ's Java mobile games subsidiary direct and manage activities in Spain, France, Italy, Portugal and Greece.

Maestri takes up the role of Territory Manager for THQ Wireless in Southern Europe, having previously worked in a business development role for In-Fusio and spent four out of his nine years in the sector working in mobile entertainment.

THQ Wireless general manager Adam Comiskey had this to say: "Lionel has outstanding experience in the mobile sector which will prove important to us as we seek to expand our presence in this region. He will be responsible for building the business throughout existing THQ Wireless distributors as well as developing new relationships with telecommunications companies, media organisations and handset manufacturers."
