THQ, publisher of the WWE, Scooby Doo and The Incredibles games, has signed a one-year agreement with Five to sponsor all programmes shown as part of the Shake kids' TV strand.

The sponsorship deal is the biggest in THQ's history. It will come into effect later this month and will mark the first time that the publisher - which has previously only sponsored satellite TV programmes - has made a move into terrestrial television.

THQ will be looking to promote its forthcoming children's titles, which include Bratz Rock Angels, Fairly Odd Parents Clash with the Anti-World, The Incredibles: Rise of the Underminer, Scooby-Doo! Unmasked and Finding Nemo DS. All of the aforementioned titles are due to hit the shelves in time for Christmas.

âAs THQ continues to expand and invest in its kidsâ targeted portfolio this sponsorship provides us with an excellent opportunity to promote a number of key titles across the coming months,â said THQ product manager Angela Bateman.

âWe look forward to building on previous successes to form a solid on- and off-air marketing relationship with Five.â
