THQ announces Company of Heroes

Mobile game confirmed to coincide with PC RTS title.

THQ Wireless has announced that WWII strategy title Company of Heroes will be heading to the mobile platform this autumn, with exclusive levels and content adapted from the highly anticipated PC Real Time Strategy game of the same name.

The mobile game will offer turn-based strategy, bringing to life the journey of the men of Able Company as they fight across Europe. Beginning with the D-Day invasion of Normandy, players will be thrust into the heart of combat in a sprawling single player campaign that draws on the intensity of the world's greatest war to date.

Designed with an isometric 3D viewpoint, the game promises uniquely destructible environments with tank combat, ground artillery and air strikes, with detailed graphics, randomised objectives and deep AI for large scale combat.

Company of Heroes also offers custom unit selection, with levels from the PC game specifically adapted for the mobile platform and a player profile which enables online leader board ranking.

Available on all major networks for Java-enabled handsets, Company of Heroes is scheduled for a worldwide release later this year.
