The Witcher: Versus

New trailer available for your viewing pleasure.

Hamburg, Germany (June 23. 2010)----gamigo AG, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Axel Springer AG, today announced that it has released a new trailer for its action-packed strategic browser-based/iPhone/Facebook RPG, The Witcher: Versus.

The Witcher: Versus is a revolutionary browser based dueling game based on the popular RPG series "The Witcher". The storyline of the game is tied to the character's development and is based on the popular series of fantasy novels by the Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski. Besides spectacularly animated PvP duels, The Witcher: Versus also comprises a number of role-playing game elements such as PvE combat, quests, and achievements. Animated exploratory expeditions led with all sorts of challenges, highly-detailed character development, and countless guild features including RvR warfare and town building, are some of the many highlights of the game. Players can mould their alter ego to their specifications by choosing one of three character classes and equipping their character with a variety of weapons, equipment, and potions. Leveling up will unlock new attack and defence strategies and buffs.

A number of new features have been introduced to The Witcher: Versus, such as the chance for guilds to conquer fortresses. New towns and travel routes have also been added, as well as dozens of quests about guilds and castle warfare. Players can also learn more about the fascinating world of The Witcher in story quests. Players can enter the fray of battle as a Witcher, a Sorceress, or a Frightener and put the wealth of skills that each class of character comes equipped with to good use. Once they have reached a certain level, players can leave the keep, Kaer Morhen, and set out in search of new and dangerous realms. More powerful opponents wait outside the keep. Players can access more regions of the gameworld with each increase in their level of experience.
