The Mastertronic Group heads for foreign shores

The Mastertronic Group has announced that it has appointed Momentum to spearhead sales in all export territories. Adam Prichard - Director of Momentum will focus on taking the three PC value games brands, namely PC Gamer Presents, MAD and Sold Out direct to retail in some territories and via distribution partners in others. Peter Ball will take over the two £9.99 brands (PC Gamer Presents and MAD) in the UK adding them to the current Sold Out portfolio of 136 current titles.

Managing Director, Andy Payne commented, 'We have spent the last 18 months building the business in the UK and establishing the brands so that we are the number one unit selling PC value business. It is now time to consolidate our operations and invest resources in growing the export business. Adam has the experience and the desire to achieve this goal.'

Adam Prichard added, 'I have enjoyed working with UK retail in establishing the PC Gamer Presents and MAD brands. Momentum looks forward to growing the European business for Mastertronic. It is an exciting challenge and I am looking forward to building on what we have achieved to date with the Sold Out brand. I am confident that these brands will be perfect for Europe.'

Peter Ball, sales director of Mastertronic summed up, 'It makes perfect sense to offer two branded price points to our UK retail customers and consumers, I can't wait to get cracking with an even bigger portfolio.'
