FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Los Angeles, CA (May 4, 2005) - The Korea Game Development & Promotion Institute and The Korea Culture & Content Agency (KOCCA) team to present Global Gaming: Korea Challenges the World, a special symposium to take place during the upcoming E3 convention.

The symposium will take place Wednesday, May 18 from 6:00PM-8:30PM at the Wilshire Grand, 930 Wilshire Blvd in Los Angeles.

The invitation only event features distinguished executives from five Korean companies at the forefront of on-line and mobile gaming, sharing their unique insights into the future of online and mobile gaming in the U.S. and around the globe.

While Korea currently enjoys massive-multi-player online (MMO) gaming brands that have attracted millions of subscribers across Asia, the U.S. is just beginning to explore the on-line gaming market. The five companies represented at the symposium are amongst the most successful in MMO gaming. The NC Soft title LINEAGE has over 3 million subscribers in Korea alone, paying a monthly fee of $20; Gravity Interactive's hugely successful RAGNAROK game boasts a worldwide aggregate subscriber-base of 28-million.

Confirmed panelists include:

Robert Garriott, President, NCsoft USA

Richard Kim, CSO, Gravity Interactive

James Wee, Executive Vice President, SkyZone Entertainment

Kyu Chang Lee, General Manager, GameVil, Inc.

U-Jin Jeon, Director, Mirinae Corporation

Moderating the panel is Richard Aihoshi, Editor-in-Chief of IGN.com.

How and when online and mobile gaming takes shape as an industry in the U.S., and where mobile and MMO gaming are heading globally, will be thoroughly analyzed by the panelists, followed by a Q&A session for audience members. The event will also feature cocktails and dinner and serve as a networking forum.

"In Korea and throughout Asia, the infrastructure for MMO and mobile gaming is built well established and the marketplace is flourishing. We are delighted to have the executives who have helped pioneer this platform serve as panelists for the symposium and look forward to a successful and enlightening event," said Alexis Wallrich, Marketing Director for KOCCA.
