THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH OPENS ITS DOORS
The Biggest Ever Computer and Video Games Expo; First Pictures Of The Event Attached
Wednesday 1 September 2004/... Game Stars Live, the UK's largest ever computer and video games exhibition is now open. Running from today until Sunday, September 5th 2004 at London's ExCeL exhibition centre in Docklands, it is a feature-packed, fun day out for all of the family, occupying a show floor as large as three football pitches.
It is the place to be for anyone with an interest in computer and video games, and includes the public unveiling of many of the greatest games of the year - giving attendees the opportunity to play them months ahead of their release.
Feature-packed areas will see gamers compete for the title of the UK's Greatest Gamers in gladiatorial-style bear pits, with finals on the main Game Stars Live stage. A retro area will chart the progress of video games to date, and the 'Groove Zone' will unveil the latest dance and karaoke video games. The 'Virtual vs. Reality Zone' will see gamers tackle computerised and real activities - including skateboarding, golf and football.
Celebrity appearances, bands and live challenges will all take place on the main Game Stars Live stage, providing constant entertainment for attendees. Various challenges will operate through the show, with some fantastic prizes - from cash to hardware - up for grabs.
Opening times are 10:00am until 6:00pm, Wednesday to Sunday. Admission on the door is £12. Press can register on site.
