The Dating Game

Classic US TV series game dates Facebook and Twitter.

Reno, NV - January 21, 2011 - 3G Studios, Inc. has acquired the rights to the classic TV series, The Dating Game . In collaboration with Sony Pictures Consumer Products, (SPCP), 3G will bring the beloved brand to Facebook, MySpace, Friendster, Hi5 and Twitter, in Q1 2011. Based on the popular show, this social game utilizes the global connectivity of today's generation to allow players from around the world to "date" in an all-new interactive experience. The Dating Game beta launches soon, so fans are encouraged to sign up at http://www.3gstudios.com/datinggame and let the flirty fun begin!

" The Dating Game has held fan appeal for decades with its sometimes provocative, sometimes coy, and always very fun flirtatious interactions," said CEO of 3G Studios, James Kosta. "By reviving the look and lighthearted feeling of the original 1960's TV series and leveraging the global connectivity of sites like Facebook, we are proud to pay homage to the cherished classic while also providing a new kind of gaming experience that caters to the social networking culture of the 21 st Century."

"We are delighted to be working with 3G in the social gaming space.  The Dating Game delivers a fun and exciting gaming experience that we feel is a perfect complement to the original show." said Mark Caplan, Vice President Consumer Products and Interactive, Sony Pictures Consumer Products.

The Dating Game for social networks mimics the original show by having three contestants participate in a question and answer format as they try to win the affection of - and a date with - a bachelor or bachelorette. Unlike the television series, however, contestants are not limited to just one date, but can go on multiple "dates" with Facebook, MySpace, Friendster, Hi5 and Twitter players all over the world.

When users join The Dating Game they are prompted to create an in-game avatar that can be personalized using a variety of options from body type, to hair and eye color, and clothing. Bachelors and bachelorettes will then engage in various question and answer games to learn more about each other's likes and interests, with identities remaining a mystery.  As in the game show, all innuendo, suggestion and humor will drive the dialogue creating a fun, spirited environment for all.
