The October issue of Pelaaja Magazine is the start of a new era. After three years, the magazine is reborn through a complete redesign: new types of stories, new layout and better, richer content.
"A new generation of videogames is starting in just two months, when the Xbox 360 is launched. Next year will see the launch of PlayStation 3 and Nintendo's new console. We must be ready to answer the challenges brought on by the new generation and the needs of new gaming audiences", says editor-in-chief Thomas Puha.
Pelaaja Magazine was founded in 2002 and quickly grew to be the biggest console gaming magazine in Finland and the country's second largest gaming magazine. Pelaaja is published by H-Town, an independent publishing company wholly owned by it employees.
The new Pelaaja is not ashamed to admit its love for great games and video gaming. It keeps a constant watch on the pulse of the gaming world - covering what's hot right now, travelling where the story is and spicing its reports with professional commentary from its expanding staff of gaming journalists.
Feature articles will delve even deeper into the world of gaming by covering both current and future topics. In Pelaaja's review pages, new games are both ranked and presented: what kind of worlds, creators and popular culture themes are connected to these games? Every Pelaaja tells you what to play now and what you'll play in the future.
October's Pelaaja is a driving game special issue. The magazine investigates the story of a smash hit: what made Burnout the massive success it now is? We review Burnout Revenge and Legends and ask what is the future of driving games. The magazine also covers the latest news from the September Tokyo Game Show.
"More style, more content and more rewarding", editor-in-chief Thomas Puha sums up the new Pelaaja. The magazine is available 30th of September, 2005. For more information, please contact editor in-chief Thomas Puha (+358 50 359 0432, firstname.lastname@example.org)
