Terraplay provides connected gaming platform for India Games

Mobile games publisher chooses Terra Move platform for connected gaming.

Mumbai-based mobile games publisher Indiagames will be launching a new range of multiplayer and connected games this year, using the recently launched Terra Move 3.0 platform.

Created by Swedish firm Terraplay, Terra Move is a middleware platform and server solution, allowing developers to include an array of features for connected and multiplayer gaming. The system, supplied as an ASP solution called Move Connect, includes hosting, monitoring and maintenance.

Any games developed in conjunction with the system can include in-game community features such as gamer tags, match-making, game rooms, turn based and real time multiplayer gaming. Additional connectivity functions will allow for the inclusion of in-game content download.

The partnership with Terraplay may serve to strengthen Indiagames' position in the market, as the desire for more complex multiplayer mobile gaming increases.

Vishal Gondal, CEO of Indiagames stated "Indiagames is positioning itself as a leader in connected gaming and Terraplay's Move Connect solution offers us a low touch solution that is very easy to get started with, yet powerful."

Indiagames currently publish and develop mobile content across multiple platforms, with distribution and major mobile operator partnerships across the globe. CEO Vishal Gondal will be one of the key speakers at the forthcoming Mobile Gaming 2005 conference in New Delhi on September 21st-22nd.
