Terra Militaris

Open beta begins today for Gala Networks Europe's browser-based RTS.

Press Release

For immediate release

Dublin, Ireland – October, 28th, 2010 – Gala Networks Europe, the leading free-to-play publisher of online games and operator of the gPotato.eu games portal, is delighted to announce that its latest browser-based title, Terra Militaris, will commence an Open Beta Test in English, French, German and Polish, starting today. Open to anyone with a penchant for high-end real-time strategy, resource management and in-depth empire building, players are invited to join up at: http://en.terra-militaris.gpotato.eu.

The time has come for players to build their own empire by choosing one of the four great ancient civilisations; Rome, Egypt, Persia and China and evolve through five different eras, from primitive times to an era of trade and into the imperial era. By developing knowledge in many different strategic fields, building powerful armies and forging mighty alliances the players will get closer to achieving the ultimate goal: becoming the ruler of the world.

Combining historical MMORTS game play with high-end Flash graphics, Terra Militaris is ready to set a new standard for browser games. Playable without any downloads or subscription fees on both PC and Mac formats, Terra Militaris brings a new gaming experience to European players.

Hyun Hur, CEO, Gala Networks Europe comments: “Following on from the Closed Beta Test held last month, we’re hugely excited about opening Terra Militaris’s doors to anyone and everyone who wants a cutting-edge RTS via the most accessible route available – the Internet browser. We’re sure players will be impressed by how advanced Snail Game’s technology has become, with no expense spared on production values and game mechanics, not to mention a depth of gameplay and strategy that’s unprecedented for the browser gaming format.”

Terra Militaris is available as an open beta, on the gPotato.eu games portal, with no download or subscription fee required. To play the game, users only have to log-in at the official website, using their favourite PC or Mac web browser, and can jump into the game in seconds.
