TIGA, the trade association representing the UK games industry, today announced TechExcel as its newest member.

TechExcel provides software for managing the whole game development lifecycle, including requirement management; project planning, defect tracking / issue management, and quality assurance. TechExcel software provides built-in support for Agile methodologies such as SCRUM to help software companies save time and resources.

TechExcel currently provides ALM and Defect Tracking/Quality Assurance software to most of the UK’s big games companies including Activision, Sony and Electronic Arts, as well as multinational companies in other sectors including Nokia, Honeywell and Bayer.

Tieren Zhou, CEO at TechExcel explains the company’s reasons for joining TIGA: “TechExcel is joining TIGA to show its commitment and support for the UK games industry. It is crucial to have a strong trade body to promote the interests of the sector and we are proud to be members of TIGA.”

“At TechExcel are also committed to helping smaller development teams improve their efficiency and Q&A systems. TechExcel offers a service called ’10 User Free Jump Start Package’ where users receive the product for free (paying only for support). This product is available to companies with fewer than ten employees who would need to use the ALM system.”

Richard Wilson, TIGA CEO stated: “TechExcel services aim to help developers save money and resources by efficiently managing the Q&A and testing process. We hope our members will benefit from TechExcel’s expertise and experience.”
