TANDEM EVENTS ANNOUNCES NEW EVENT FOR GAMES MARKETERS

Conference organiser Tandem Events is launching a new conference for anyone involved in marketing computer or video games.

Games Marketing Forum will be a one-day event, taking place at The Cumberland Hotel in London's West End on Thursday 22 November.

Designed as a result of Tandem Events speaking directly to games marketing teams, the conference offers a unique opportunity for games marketers to learn from marketing experts not only from the games industry but also from other consumer-facing markets.

"The Games Marketing Forum will allow delegates to keep-up-to-date with the latest marketing trends like social networking and understand how they can be integrated into their campaigns, listen to real-life success stories and take some new ideas back to the office. Plus just as importantly, mix with their peers and network at the evening drinks reception." says Andy Lane, managing director, Tandem Events

Confirmed speakers at Games Marketing Forum include:

Dan Coleman, responsible for kids and entertainment clients at leading agency Mindshare UK will be talking about how to create effective advertising campaigns and using the award-winning Lynx campaign as his case study.

Sean Dromgoole, founder of strategic research company Some Research that specialises in the games market will explain how you can command gamers' attention in an increasingly competitive marketplace.

Nick Johnson, head of advertising and sponsorship at leading law firm Osborne Clarke will tell you exactly what legislation affects the games sector and important stuff you should really know about!

Michael Nutley, editor-in-chief of New Media Age magazine will share his view on what's new in new media and give an insight into the hottest digital marketing trends.

Paul Walsh, is Chair of the British Interactive Media Association (BIMA), and a well-respected expert on social networking, he's going to talk through some case studies of companies who have successfully harnessed this new phenomenon as a marketing tool.
