Sylum Entertainment Engineers Gaming Victory with AMD64 version of "WWII Tank Commander"

With 64-bit visuals, gameplay and arcade-style action, WWII Tank Commander for the PC brings authentic WWII excitement to gamers, tank enthusiasts and history buffs around the world.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MIDDLETOWN, NY - March 16, 2005 - Sylum Entertainment announced today that "WWII Tank Commander," a military arcade-style action game designed for the PC was developed and optimized for 64-bit gaming using the AMD Athlon 64 processor-based platform. Take command of a Sherman tank in General Patton's 4th Armored Division as you destroy enemy armor and infantry, escort Allied convoys, rescue hostages and help free Europe from Nazi rule.

It's World War II. From France to Germany prepare to destroy the opposition as commander of an M4 Sherman tank in Patton's best and most elite division. Featuring multiple mission styles with objectives such as Assault, Escort, Defense and Rescue, you will engage in non-stop military arcade action with authentic weapons. Cut off the enemy at the Brittany Peninsula, smash Nazi forces across the Moselle, relieve the besieged 101st Airborne at Bastogne, cross the Rhine and drive German forces out of France.

"With AMD64 technology, we were able to increase performance, visuals and overall game play for WWII Tank Commander. We feel long term there are many benefits that only 64-bit can offer. With the upcoming release of multi-core AMD64 technology, our ability to develop and plan future gaming titles will be significantly enhanced," said Sylum President, David Schulman.

"Gaming enthusiasts know that only AMD64 technology eliminates the bottleneck of a front-side bus to deliver outstanding 32-bit performance," said Marsha Fatino, director, CPG Consumer Segment Strategy, AMD. "Now with WWII Tank Commander's 64-bit-only features, gamers can experience the mind-blowing performance benefits and 32-/64-bit compatibility of AMD64 technology."

"WWII Tank Commander" was developed on Alienware computers powered by AMD Athlon 64 processors. For an enhanced surround sound experience, WWII Tank Commander also boasts Creative Labs EAX 4.0.

"WWII Tank Commander" is published by Merscom and will be hitting stores world wide soon. The official site for "WWII Tank Commander" is set to launch shortly. In the meantime, for more information visit: www.merscom.com/wwiitankcommander.htm.
