Fans in London queue to meet the voice of Mario, Charles Martinet and to trouser a copy of the game.

11 June 2010 – To celebrate the launch of the hotly anticipated Super Mario Galaxy 2, hundreds of fans dressed as Mario queued for up to 8 hours outside GAME, Oxford Street last night. Super keen fans donned their best Mario outfits to be first in Europe to get their hands on this year’s most critically acclaimed video game, Super Mario Galaxy 2 on Wii!

People travelled from all corners of the UK to meet Charles Martinet, the legendary voice behind Mario, get Mario merchandise signed by Charles, play the game and collect their exclusive Mario goody bags.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 is set to be the smash hit of the summer and launches across the UK today. Receiving rave reviews across the media, Mario mania has hit the capital as fans scramble to pick up their copy of this highly acclaimed game this weekend.
