SUNFLOWERS and KOCH Media sign biggest Cooperation Contract ever in the History of the German Games Industry
Heusenstamm, 27th April - SUNFLOWERS PC Games ANNO 3 and ParaWorld will exclusively be distributed by KOCH Media in German-speaking countries under this contract. In all other European countries, KOCH Media will act as Publisher.
The total development budget of both titles is more than 15 Million Euros. SUNFLOWERS is thus gearing up to large international PC productions and setting new standards for the development of computer games by German companies.
"Our aim is to break into the international market and produce world-wide hits. In order to achieve this, we need development budgets which enable us to match the real industry big shots. With KOCH Media, we have found a partner who shares our ambitious ideas and complements us perfectly", said Adi Boiko, SUNFLOWERS President, about the conclusion of the contract.
"Anno 3 and ParaWorld fit perfectly in our Deep Silver Portfolio. The exceptional quality of the titles convinced us even during the early phases of development. Together with SUNFLOWERS, our mutual ambitious target is to market those two titles in Europe", says Klemens Kundratitz, CEO of KOCH Media, about the newly established cooperation of the two companies.
SUNFLOWERS (Interactive Entertainment Software GmbH) is Germany's leading publisher of entertainment software. All projects are realized in close cooperation with associated development studios.
The company was founded in 1993 by Adi Boiko and Wilhelm Hamrozi with the express aim of developing outstanding computer games with an enormous fun factor for the international market.
Over four million copies of the strategy hits ANNO 1602 and ANNO 1503 have been sold so far, making them the two most successful computer games ever to come out of Germany.
