Dublin, Ireland – May 11th, 2010 – Street Gears the free-to-play skater MMO on the gPotato.eu portal is celebrating two different Festivals in May - the Cannes Film Festival and the “Festival International Sports Extreme”. Players can enjoy the carnival atmosphere by participating in one of the in-game events, or they can try their luck in one of the two categories in the Street Gears video contest. As always, many prizes are to be won.
From May 10th - June 10th all players will have the opportunity to show off their movie directing and video editing skills by participating in one of two video contest categories: Imaginary movie trailers and Trick movies. In the spirit of the Cannes Film Festival it will be determined which videos are best and the winners will be awarded with interesting inGame prizes. But that’s not all - there will also be a film quiz to test the movie knowledge of Park Town’s riders.
From May 13th Park Town will celebrate the Extreme Sports Festival. For two weeks players of all levels will have the chance to compete in a multitude of events. They can participate in the Extreme Sports Tournament incorporating a total of 12 exciting racing, slalom and long jump challenges, or test their sports knowledge in the extreme sports quiz. Last, but not least, they can show off their best moves in a screenshot contest. For the whole duration of the Extreme Sports Festival players will have an additional opportunity to win a unique Extreme Sports T-Shirt in a daily prize draw.
