Streamline expands business development team

Former MGM and Disney Interactive staff join rapidly growing studio

Streamline Studios has expanded its business development team with the appointment of Che-Yuan Wang and Neil Haldar.

Wang joins the company from Disney Interactive Studios to take on a senior business development role, while Haldar, formerly of MGM, will take on an advisory role, focusing on developing the company's relationship with Hollywood studios.

"2009 is a transition year for the games industry and Streamline Studios believes the transition will incorporate new business models that utilise more co-production setups, and require additional pre-qualified content partners at all quality levels," commented Alexander Fernandez, president and CEO of Streamline Studios.

"We've seen fantastic growth and are using our position to add extremely talented senior business development executives to the company in order to address the two most rapidly growing markets for content creation."

The company reports that its content has appeared in games that have had combined sales of over 10 million units, generating USD 500 million in US retail sales, and helping the company achieve a year-over-year growth of 45 per cent.

Streamline Studios content has been featured in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon, Gears of War, Unreal Tournament, Battlefield, Saints Row, and James Bond.
