London (2 November 2010) – Square Enix Ltd., the publisher of SQUARE ENIX® interactive entertainment products in Europe and other PAL territories, today announces a completely new type of game, Voice Fantasy™ for iPhone® and iPod® touch (4 ^th generation), available worldwide from today.

Voice Fantasy is a completely new type of game, in which you and your friends’ recorded voices are used to summon characters that can fight battles. Depending on the volume and pitch of the recorded voice, different characters are summoned with various jobs, abilities, and personalities.

The game contains three modes: ‘Single Match’, where characters battle one-on-one; ‘Tag Match’, for two-on-two battles; and ‘Demon King’, where you take down monsters. Each summoned character’s respective skills and abilities are brought to bear in heated RPG-style battles that can be enjoyed using only one device. Battles are fully automated, making it easy for anyone to pick up and play.

As a bonus feature, the voice you record is converted into a ‘character voice’ and used during battles. What kind of voice could this be? You’ll just have to play the game and find out for yourself! Also, many familiar characters from some of Square Enix’s classic titles will join the game at later updates. Please look out for them!
