Sony unveils new Resistance, God of War titles at E3

New IP MAG from Zipper fills out a show featuring titles for whole PlayStation family

Sony has revealed a number of upcoming titles at its E3 press event in Los Angeles today, including God of War III for PS3 and Resistance: Retribution for the PSP.

Insomniac Games boss Ted Price conducted a live demo of FPS Resistance 2, telling the crowd that the sequel would feature eight-player co-op and 60-player competitive matches.

LittleBigPlanet was another game on display, with Jack Tretton, president and CEO of SCEA conducting his entire business update in the game.

Tretton further revealed a spate of PSN releases, Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest For Booty, Crash Commando, Fat Princess, Pixeljunk Eden, PAIN Amusement Park, flOwer, Siren Blood Curse and Ragdoll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic.

The PSP saw a number of new releases announced including a Ratchet & Clank Size Matters Entertainment Pack, Resistance Retribution by Bend Studios, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Madden NFL 09, LocoRoco 2, NBA 09 The Inside, Super Stardust Portable, LEGO Batman, Patapon 2, Buzz! Master Quiz and Valkyria Chronicles.

"Frankly we've always felt that PSP is one of the keys to Sony owning the living room," said Tretton.

Jim Lee of SOE joined Tretton on stage to present details of the upcoming title DC Universe Online, and Sony also announced that God of War 3 would be coming to the PS3, before showing s small teaser trailer. Open-world superhero game inFamous was also shown briefly.

Finally Tretton revealed the event's last game, MAG from Zipper Interactive, a war game supporting 256 players at the same time.
