Sony taps Kuju for new EyeToy title

UK developer Kuju has announced that its Brighton studio is working on the next EyeToy title for Sony, the sports-themed EyeToy: Play Sports, which is due to be released later this year.

Featuring over a hundred mini-games themed around various sports, the title is the fourth in the EyeToy: Play series, which has sold multiple million copies worldwide since the original title launched alongside EyeToy in July 2003.

Commenting on the announcement, Kuju Brighton studio boss Ed Daly said that "alongside the studio's work on previous EyeToy games, SingStar Rocks, and other recent announcements, the Play Sports project underlines Kuju Brighton's commitment to lifestyle / social gaming, reaching out to parts of the market that other games can't reach."

The Kuju Brighton studio is one of five studios operated by the firm around the UK, and specialises in "lifestyle" gaming. As well as EyeToy Play Sports, the studio is currently working on PSP music title Traxion for publisher LucasArts.
