Sony sets E3 press conference date

Platform holder expected to reveal more NGP details on June 6

Sony Computer Entertainment has set a date for this year's E3 press conference, on Monday June 6 at 5pm PST.

Although the company has not yet hinted at any announcements, it's expected more details of the Next Generation Portable will take centre stage, including the possible reveal of a name and more solid release strategy.

The show proper opens on Tuesday 7-9 at the LA Convention Centre, and will feature all the major video game brands and publishers, including Nintendo, OnLive, Ubisoft, Microsoft, Capcom, Activision and EA, amongst others.

Sony's event takes place at the LA Memorial Sports Arena and is invite only, but will also be streamed live on the web.
