Sony, Nokia, Philips and Autodesk are sponsoring this year's Develop Conference & Expo, taking place in Brighton July 24-26.

Event director Andy Lane has revealed that delegate registration is up on last year, and he expects a first class event for the development community.

"Delegate registrations are up on this time last year, we are lucky enough to have videogame heavyweights Chris Satchell and Richard Garriott delivering keynotes and we have an impressive line-up of world-class speakers set to deliver a 60-session strong conference," said Lane.

As well as keynotes from Microsoft's Satchell and NCSoft's Garriott, speakers at the event include Frontier's David Braben, Beverley Bright of Bizarre Creations, Stormfront's Don Daglow and SCEE's Katie Ellwood.

"This is becoming a key event in the European development calendar and we are proud to be supporting it," said Jamie Macdonald, VP of SCE Worldwide Studios Europe.
