Sonic The Hedgehog 2/Streets of Rage

iPhone versions get Bluetooth update.

SAN FRANCISCO and LONDON - November 23, 2010

SEGA® of America, Inc. and SEGA® Europe Ltd. announced that popular App Store titles Sonic The Hedgehog™ 2 and Streets of Rage received a new update today that offers Bluetooth® capability for multiplayer game modes (available for 2nd generation iPhone and iPod touch®, and 3.x OS or better). This free update allows players to team up with others who have the same game on their respective devices and battle the forces of evil in each of these Genesis™ classics.

Players who utilize multiplayer for Sonic The Hedgehog 2 can now choose between playing as Sonic or Tails as they cooperatively finish stages or race against each other on their way to defeating Dr. Eggman. Streets of Rage, the definitive street brawler beat’em up of the 16-bit era, will also allow cooperative gameplay so players can tag-team their way through levels of non-stop action on their way to cleaning up the streets from the crime syndicate ruling the city.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 and Streets of Rage are available on the App Store for iPhone and iPod touch or at www.itunes.com/AppStore.
