Remastered version of the Dreamcast original available on XBLA now and on PSN next week.
LONDON & SAN FRANCISCO (September 15th, 2010) – SEGA ® Europe Ltd. and SEGA ® of America, Inc. today announced that Sonic The Hedgehog’s first epic 3D quest, Sonic Adventure TM , is now available on Xbox LIVE ® Arcade for the Xbox 360 ® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. This Dreamcast classic has been digitally re-mastered with 720p graphics and Dolby ® Digital Sound so that players can experience it for the first time in HD. Step into the shoes of Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and the whole gang, and take on the forces of Dr. Eggman today for only 800 Microsoft Points.
“This week marked the eleventh anniversary of the Dreamcast’s arrival” said Haruki Satomi, VP of Digital Business at SEGA of America. “We feel there’s no better way to honour that milestone than by providing both new and veteran gamers with the chance to experience Sonic’s first thrilling 3D adventure in High Definition!”
PLAYSTATION ® 3 computer entertainment system owners who want to join in the hunt for the Chaos Emeralds need not worry, as Sonic Adventure will also be arriving on the PlayStation Network in High Definition on September 22nd for £ 6.29 / € 7.99
