SolidLabs unveils new mobile platform

Viwawa to offer free multiplayer gaming

SolidLabs has announced the launch of Viwawa, a new platform which allows players to download games to their mobile phones and play against each other for free.

Viwawa is available for phones supporting Java or FlashLite, and can also be accessed via desktop computers. It's designed with social networking in mind, so users can chat with each other as well as compete.

The first game to be launched for the platform is Stwack!, a fighting game featuring stick man characters. By playing the game users earn "gold", which can then be exchanged for boosts and power-ups. Players can also earn chances to win prizes such as an iPod Shuffle and Nintendo Wii.

"The goal of Viwawa is to take mobile gaming to a broader perspective and hit all target markets," said SolidLabs president Jim Capps.

"We've created Viwawa and Stwack! to give users games, but also the chat capability. We relish the fact that multiplayer gaming is now mobile and players can compete with friends or make new ones, even if they aren't on the same continent. We are eager to develop more for the multi-person mobile gaming revolution."

Viwawa and Stwack! will be on show at CommunicAsia, which takes place in Singapore from June 19 - 22.
