So Blonde

Steve Ince nominated for the Writers' Guild of Great Britain 2008 Awards.

Friday 26th September/... Shortly before the release of So Blonde, Steve Ince has been nominated for the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain 2008 Awards. His script for the PC Adventure game So Blonde was shortlisted in the category “Best videogame script”.

“The Writers’ Guild Awards are among the most notable awards in Britain. I’m very happy and honoured that my script has been considered,” says Steve Ince who created So Blonde’s story, its dialogues as well as the game design. The Writer-Designer has fifteen years of game development experience. The Writers’ Guild of Great Britain Awards will be held on Sunday 23rd November 2008 in London.

So Blonde is a funny and colourful Point & Click Adventure game, featuring a very special heroine: Sunny Blonde. She is young, she is pretty and she has really rich parents – Sunny Blonde doesn’t have to worry about her

life. The seventeen year old beauty should be on a luxury cruise over the Atlantic Ocean with her parents, but near the Bermuda islands the ship gets distressed at sea. Sunny blacks out and finds herself in a rescue boat.

When she wakes up, Sunny is lying under palms on a gorgeous sandy beach. Still a little bit dazed Sunny sees no other passengers from her ship – it seems that she’s completely alone, cast away on an island. But much more annoying for Sunny is the fact that she has to abandon of all her high-price merchandise: her cell phone has no reception, her makeup is awful and the next shopping mall is nowhere in sight. But that’s not enough. Unfortunate circumstances have brought Sunny back in time to the age of buccaneers and pirates…

So Sunny Blonde is in real trouble – and the gamer of the loony adventure, So Blonde, is called upon to get her out of this trouble. Steve Ince (noted for his work on the “Broken Sword” series) is responsible for this exceptional story. So Blonde, developed by Wizarbox from France, has a real off-the-wall story, a beautiful (anti)hero, black humor beyond all stereotypes, smashing cartoon graphics and some real surprises in the gameplay.
