Simply Games reportedly has ceased operations

A rep said, "We are currently implementing changes to our internal systems and reviewing our pre-order process"

UK retail store Simply Games appears to have ceased its business operations since the month of February.

As reported by VGC, customers shared on social media that orders for newer titles have been cancelled or haven't been received the in the mail.

The publication went on to say that the site's preorder selection for example, now features a few choices. Whereas earlier in the year it contained a large selection of 2022's upcoming titles.

A Simply Games representative addressed consumer concerns of its ramping down of operations and stock on Twitter.

In part they said, "We are currently implementing changes to our internal systems and reviewing our pre-order process."

When consumers visit the retailer's website they'll be greeted by the following message:

"We are currently undergoing scheduled maintenance and expect to be back very soon! We appreciate your patience."
