Sierra Entertainment Secures Rights To Publish 'Timeshift' Video Game

Time control FPS coming soon for PC and Xbox 360

LOS ANGELES, CA - (May 4th , 2006) - Vivendi Games' Sierra Entertainment today announced that it has secured the rights to publish TimeShiftTM, an original first-person shooter offering unprecedented time-control technology that allows players to stop, slow or reverse time. Developed by Saber Interactive, TimeShift will be released for the Xbox 360TM gaming and entertainment system and PC.

"We are very pleased to have secured the rights to the TimeShift franchise," commented Cindy Cook, Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer for Vivendi Games. "TimeShift is an excellent addition to our 2006 lineup and one that offers something very different to a lot of other FPS titles on the market today."

"Saber Interactive's proprietary Saber3D engine elevates the first-person action genre by melding an epic single-player storyline and mind-blowing multiplayer scenarios with the ability to control time," said Peter Della Penna, EVP of Worldwide Studios for Vivendi Games. "The ability to alter the game's 'time-scape' results in a fundamentally new gameplay dynamic and intensity."

Marked by an epic, time-traveling narrative and cutting edge in-game physics, TimeShift introduces a never-before-seen approach in the genre by challenging players to manipulate time to bring down a totalitarian regime.

Assume the role of renowned and recently retired test pilot Colonel Michael Swift, who is recovering from the tragic loss of his daughter. Desperate for an escape from his misery, Swift accepts a unique offer from the US Government to test an experimental set of time-control devices and become the world's first "chrononaut." During the tests, he inadvertently alters time and returns to a present changed beyond recognition. The democracy he left has become a fascist nightmare - and his knowledge of the events that led to this alternate present has made him an enemy of the state. Armed with the time-shifting Quantum Suit, Swift is now on the run, on a perilous mission to fix the past, present and future.

Developed by Saber Interactive for the Xbox 360 and PC, TimeShift, is scheduled for a worldwide release during 2006. For more information please visit
